Homeschooling Family Needs Help–Homeschool Ministry Opportunity

As a homeschooling mom, I was touched by an email I read that told of a fellow homeschooling family who is in need and I wanted to post this information here for other people to read and possibly see this as an opportunity to help them. I do not know this family at all, but my heart immediately began to ache for them.

The Estes family, owner of Hands and Hearts, have seven children. Their youngest, Noah, who is almost a year old, has some major health issues. He is on a feeding tube right now, and their insurance does not cover the cost of his formula, which is about $25 a day. Also, as I read their blog, there is an entry saying as of 7/6, this poor little babe is back in the hospital undergoing a long list of tests as they attempt to diagnose the problems he is experiencing.

MANY other Homeschool publishers have gotten together to offer some beautiful FREE products to everyone who makes a donation of $27 to the Estes Family. The family gets 100% of the money and you get a huge list of great products! It is only offered until the 13th of July.

There are a number of free gifts for you if you choose to make a donation. The link is http://www.chirotoons.com/benefit. If you are unable to make a monetary donation (or in addition to making one), PLEASE uplift this little one and family in prayer. Also, feel free to post this on YOUR blog for added exposure for the Estes family.

ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!!!

I strongly encourage EVERY one to watch this...you won't be sorry.

"The below is the hottest thing on the internet and on Fox News today. Lizzie Palmer who put this YouTube program together is 15 years old. There have been over 3,000,000 hits as of this morning. In case you missed it, here it is. ENJOY!"

I think THIS IS ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just want to say "THANK YOU LIZZIE!" for making such a beautiful tribute to those who have sacrificed and who are currently sacrificing their lives for ALL of us. I have watched this about 7 times already today, showed it to my children and husband, and emailed it to several people and a few of my email groups. I still have tear-filled eyes as I think of this video and the profound impact it has left on me.

My family and I thank ALL of the American military who continue to give so much for us and our freedom. In our eyes, you will NOT be forgotten and we will forever be in debt to you. You continue to be in our prayers.

Below is a collection of images I've collected over the past few years and I think this is the perfect time to display them. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did. :)

Please pray for Heather’s Surgery– it’s today!

Praying for Heather

I'm sorry I could not post this earlier...I had a dr's appointment this morning and we were also without power since yesterday so I could not get online any sooner than right now. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE pray for Heather as she is most likely still in surgery as I type this. I'll be checking on MOG for updates from Laura.

Praise the Lord for a SUNNY day!!!

Isn't it great? I just posted yesterday about the trend of gloomy, rainy days we've been having and this morning I woke up to a beautiful sunny day with blue skies! It is quite chilly out (that's ok because I LOVE chilly weather) but at least it looks terrific outside!

After church, I took one of the dogs for a walk (I would have taken 2 dogs, but I could only find 1 leash, sigh) and one of my son's decided to go with me and roller blade. He has gotten quite good at it too! We do not have a paved driveway, so it is always a treat when I allow them to go with me on a walk so they can use the side of the road.

After lunch, I was feeling um, how shall I say, not so old? LOL, I was having a youthful moment and decided to go on the trampoline with a couple of my kids. Well, the first 5 minutes were fine, but the 6th moment brought distress...on the way down from a jump, we all heard a series of snaps/cracks that came from my leg. :( BAM! My youthful moment was over (LOL). I do not know what happened, but from my knee to my ankle I felt several cracks throughout and it hurts from my knee down to my toes. I am able to walk on it, but that was the end of the trampoline for the day. Now I remember why I don't like exercise! ;)

Oh, do you know about Freecycle? I love Freecycle! We had a very old printer given to us but the person never gave us the cords that go with it, so I listed on it Freecycle and the person just picked it up. If you aren't familiar with Freecycle, click HERE to learn more about it...it is awesome and helps make the earth a better place! :)

Wow! Praise the Lord!

I just read over at Moms of Grace that $14,542.44 has been raised for Heather & her dear family! Isn't that remarkable? Praise our Almighty Father for this gift!!!

Heather goes for a second opinion today, so please do not cease praying! To read more detail on Heather, click here.

Today is our homeschool project fair, so we are getting ready for that and hopefully I will have the time later on to report back here with the details.

Please pray for Heather...

I joined a wonderful forum yesterday, Moms of Grace which I feel very blessed to have found. Upon joining, I immediately began reading all the different discussions. I was intrigued to discover how many moms "blogged" and I wanted to learn more.

As I was reading some of the posts about blogs, I decided to visit a few of the blogs to see firsthand what they were like. This lead me to learn about Heather. Please visit BooMama's site to see how she is helping Heather.

I am asking everyone who reads here to PLEASE pray for Heather and even add her to your prayer list.
